The Art of Self-Love: A Self-Portrait Painting Experience
Verity Member Private Event
Date & Time: Wednesday October 14 2026, 6-8pm
Location: Verity, 111d Queen St E, Toronto, ON M5C 1S2
Room: Sherbourne Room
Consider this a date night with yourself.
The Art of Self-Love is an intimate, guided painting experience designed to help you pause, reconnect with yourself, and explore the person beneath the roles you carry, the work you do, and the expectations you hold.
This experience is guided by Cynthia, an artist and creative coach devoted to reconnecting people with their inner power through expression. Through personal storytelling, guided reflection, and expressive self-portrait painting, you are invited to consider: What does it truly mean to love yourself? What fills your cup? What brings you back to your sense of play, vitality, and creative fire?
The Experience
Using colour, pattern, symbolism, and intuitive mark-making, you’ll create an expressive self-portrait that becomes an exploration of essence: your energy, emotions, memories, imagination, and the colour of your soul.
This is not about creating a perfect portrait. It is about allowing yourself to be witnessed by you. No previous painting experience is required. Whatever your age or season of life, there is value in pausing long enough to meet yourself and fall in love again in all seasons of becoming.
Included
All painting materials
A finished canvas self-portrait to take home
A new journal for continued self-love reflections and practices
About the facilitator: Cynthia Undyantara
Cynthia is an artist and muralist, creative coach, and arts-wellness practitioner devoted to reconnecting people with their inner power through expression. Before leaving the corporate world to pursue more meaningful, community-centred work, she built a career in animation, contributing as an artist and production leader to internationally recognized productions for Netflix, PBS, and Nickelodeon. She later co-founded a multidisciplinary community art space in downtown Toronto, followed by Electric Sunshine Co., a creative wellness company producing experiences ranging from corporate programs and wellness workshops, to exhibitions and events. Drawing on her background in creative leadership and embodied practice, she uses art as a form of alchemy—helping people move through blockages, awaken their inner power, and embody greater freedom, flow, and authentic self-expression in their lives.
