Existential Calm
I say I don’t want to play
Yet I’m addicted to the level-ups
Societal praise like endorphin hits to the veins.
I wear my track marks like stamps of approval
Spending money on my skins
So again I press ‘start’.
Beyond the Wall
Being on the other side always feels like coming home - like shedding off the clothes, the thoughts, and the noise - becoming weightless and free. It’s a place where the boundaries’ of self and other completely dissolve, erasing any separation between me and the infinite.
Voice
Each time we opened our mouths, we no longer knew if it was our own voice coming out, or if it was a scripted playback of another’s voice to stand in place of our own that had gone far into hiding. So we begin the mission to “find” our authentic voice.
Patience (Journal Entry)
By listening; I am a co-creator; not a conqueror of the resources. I trust myself; I trust the spirit and flow of life.
Overthinking
It causes you to stay stagnant in that one spot—your safe little patch of light, refusing to move in any direction. The only path familiar to you is the one your just came from, but do you really want to turn around?
The Place
It’s an ocean that has no bottom or shore. It’s a state of flowing in no particular direction, time, or destination. Everything that exists there always has been, and always will be. The place is eternal.
The Crane
I found medicine in nature. The ancient forest was a powerful display of the natural cycles of life, death, and new life. There was an abundance of fallen trees, decaying branches, layers of moss, and new growths that sprouted from every surface.
