Dear Artist: Consume.

Dear Artist,

You are allowed to consume.
Consume the world around you.
The colour of the trees,
The way the falling leaves make you feel,
The wind on your skin.

The love you feel -

Without the need to take yourself out of this presence in order to capture it - 
With your paintbrush or the lens of your camera,
- and translate it to the world.

You are a channel, yes.
But you do not need to always take on that responsibility.
You are allowed to be. 
Just simply be the consumer.

Yes, you have the ability to do such things.
But you do not need to always be the creator,
The messenger and the vessel to others - 
Of this beauty you are witness to.

Allow yourself to be.
Allow yourself to drink in the beauty of the world
Unfiltered.

Drinking it all in,
Allowing it to absorb into your own system.
And for nobody else.

If you’re still caught up with being of service, maybe this will make you feel better.

By allowing yourself to fill your cup - 
Infusing your system with beauty and nutrients - 
Gifts from the universe, nature, and spirit.

You will become stronger, brighter, and more vibrant.

You will be able to be more loving.
To show up as a more powerful creator, healer, lover.

So allow.
Allow yourself to consume,
all that is good,
for you.
